Re: Hyphenation exceptions warning

I've got a solution: 1. When the message about hyphenation exceptions appears, choose the document hyphenation exceptions. 2. Erase the document hyphenation exception and save it. 3. Open again the document, but now, when the message appears, choose QXP hyphenation exceptions. 4. Save the document. ...

Hyphenation exceptions warning

I have imported the same hyphenation exceptions file in my two QXP setups (without any opened document). Despite this, the same document is opened without any warning about hyphenation exceptions in my desktop computer and with a warning about differences in the hyphenation exceptions list in my lap...

Re: "Save Text" and footnote loss

Footnotes Export/Import are a matter for serious improvement in QXP. The beatiful Xtags feature doesn't support footnotes. Footnotes export is impossible via Save Text. IDML import still doesn't support footnotes too... For me, it's a serious problem too. I hope Quark will hear our complains.

Re: HAVE AN IDML that DOES NOT import CORRECTLY?

Thank you very much for your answer. I deleted ID preferences, I opened the IDML files and exported them again. No luck. QXP refused to import the IDML file. Afterwards, I opened the original ID file and I created a new IDML file. No luck. I'll send the new file to you, just to verify that it's OK.

Re: HAVE AN IDML that DOES NOT import CORRECTLY?

QXP doesn't import IDML files exported by CS4. If the files are opened and saved in CC2018, no problem. It's necessary to guarantee compatibility with IDML files created by CS4, CS5 etc. I have already sent a couple of files to Mathias.

Re: Several suggestions

Every time I had to use InDesign, it was a torture. I don't recommend that route. QXP is OK for my needs, but having to sign in a Facebook group is too much for me...

Re: Several suggestions

I have been a loyal Ventura user for many many years. My experiences with other similar software (InDesign or prosumer alternatives) were always disappointing in terms of usability and productivity. For the first time, I'm feeling at ease with a DTP software (Ventura is too old to support OpenType a...

Several suggestions

I am a very happy new QXP user but, anyhow, I have some suggestions for the next QuarkXpress version: -- Story Editor: it’s necessary to be able to customize font and appearance. It’s a very useful feature and the current font is too small for my eyes (in a 1980x1200 screen). A “dark” mode would be ...

Re: In line tables column width

Thank you very much for your message. If I use my own table style, the table takes the right colours and font but, after reopening, the font formatting is wrong. The problem is not related to a single font. It's a problem with fonts.
