Re: Giving up on Xpress

Well, I see what you mean. It's just that I do not have time to adapt. I can not suddenly need double and more time to solve tasks. All I do for customers is always tight schedule. But of course it was all too much for me. New computer, switch from 10.6.8 to 10.14, fight with OSX shortcomings since ...

Re: Giving up on Xpress

Well, if it would be only that I could adapt. But there are so many things that just are not user friendly, too complicatedd, not responding well, are unlogic, are slow or are simply missing. I have enough of it. I just did the thing I really tried hard to avoid: I purchased an Adobe CC license. And...

Giving up on Xpress

This is really making me sick. Not even the most simple things do work in Xpress. In any other application I can select an object that is BEHIND an object. I have a colored box and a bigger textbox before it. In ANY OTHER PROGRAM I can use command or option clickt to get to select the behind object....

Re: Slow

Again regarding speed, I noted, when I take a handle of any object and directly drag it (dotted frame lines), its so very heavy to drag, slagging behind, slow. But when I click it and wait a second or two, so that content text or image is shown adapting/moving, it behaves much more liquid. Thats dou...

Transparency sooo strange

The whole transparency thing works strange. Seems not possible to make a box or group together with its content transparent. It has to be set for the picture and make the box filling "none", but then all thats white of the picture, directly staying on the page withouth background becomes black in th...

Re: Slow

Not only the speed of Xpress is lacking. I was surprised how you, Mr. Günther, wrote in publisherblog about how the team was so much on the look for a killerfeature while still there are so many other, very basic things, that are not here yet. For example I am missing overlay options (multiply etc) ...

Re: blurring edges

No, not that. This works only with the text. I set it for the whole box, means the whole content, text/images must multiply.

Re: blurring edges

Here another problem. Gray text in a box. I set the box to "multiplicate" overlay modus. Text should now be darker then the image. Nothings happens.

blurring edges

How can I make edges transparently blurred? Could not find any mention of this in the userguide. Would be one of the very basic functions one expects. And of course this is meant to work with pictures inside too. Example here, I did the second quickly in indesign:
