non breaking space AND non-hyphenation mark together

Have you tried to link the last 2 words in the paragraph together with a non-breaking space, and then adding the discretionary hyphen before the 2nd last word?

quark vs indesign

Not really. Quark's upgrades are much cheaper than Adobe's, you can easily afford PS+XP and still go for a nice weekend trip instead of upgrading CS. Regarding pricing. Upgrades to the entire CS4 Design premium suite cost $599/US. Anyone using Photoshop and Illustrator (not to mention Acrobat [Pro]...

IT Related Requests

Matthias, what could possibly be too time consuming about checking quark's website daily/weekly/monthly awaiting NEEDED fixes to keep production churning along. What could adobe possibly been thinking by TELLING ME when updates are available?

quark vs indesign

Here is my 2 cents on the quark -vs- inDesign debate. I have used quark since its inception, and resisted the "switch" for years. We have totally switched over, and will not look back any time soon. Quark 8 has HUGE problems/issues, and there do not seem to be fast fixes coming. We make many catalog...

Can you turn off "runaround" in multiple groups objects, or

No, I don't believe you can. If grouped, ungroup and turn off for each, then regroup (if grouping is needed).

Once I install my upgrade to Quark 7.2

No. You can delete the old versions. But, if you need to backsave for any reason its nice to have the old version to open the backsaved file and "fix" what the backsaving destroys. Or if you need to backsave to 5, you'll need 6, because you can only backsave one version down. But, you can definitely...

2 attention of developers! The task of a step of shift of ob

Matthias, re-read my previous post, I added a few things in an edit I assume you did not see. Unfortunately my time here is much less than it used to by. Any "extra" time now is learning a new interface/layout program. Because I/we feel abandoned by our "old" program, a lot of us are moving on to ou...

Of course you can still buy7. Matthias, seriously. Why would/should anyone buy the old program when you have a new version out? Especially when the ONLY reason to own the old version is because the new version is seriously flawed, and just does not work properly with the way the file is/was constru...

Quark 8 Cannot print multiples of 1 page document

You can try printing multiple copies by checking the collate option in Print Dialog box Devil's advocate here, but, why? What if I want 2 prints, of a 2 page document, and I DON'T want them collated? Just another bug/workaround. If we list them all in a spreadsheet, it would weigh 10 lbs (4.5359237...

Another undocumented feature, no doubt.
