Hi Emma, Thanks for your response. What I'm trying to achieve is this . . . I have numerous Quark pages which have prices in various boxes on the page, (not consistent), and need to extract all the prices and write them into a .csv file. The only thing consistent throughout the prices is of course t...

Exporting paragraphs from Quark doc

Hi, The following script gives the result I require apart from the fact that I need the prices to be comma separated. This script is extracting all the prices from a page but in one line which is no good for importing into Excel. This is the result I get . . . "Filename.qxp, 12.76 Ex-VAT1414.99217.0...

Unable to render to pdf

Hi Paul,

Yes I could work with the Javascript.

I take it from this that there isn't an out of the box solution for batch processing Quark files to PDF from QuarkServer?

Unable to render to pdf

Hi Paul, A typical batch scenario would be that Quark files would be exported to a hot folder or holding location, then currently an Applescript will activate to convert the Quark files to Postscript ready for Distilling, then once distilled the files would be passed to a flight checking solution fo...

Unable to render to pdf

Thanks for the info Paul. In that case how what url do I have to enter to get the server to call a folder of Quark files to save to pdf rather than just an individual file? Appreciate your feedback on the Server issues Paul, there really does seem to be a limited resource for Quark Server so relying...

Missing image log

Hi,

I've processed a Quark file with missing images to PDF but don't get a warning or error log.
Surely even if the missing image dialog box has been supressed you should still receive an error in the server log.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Batch process pdf's from Quark Server

Hi,

Is it possible to batch process a folder of Quark files to ps using a url string for Quark Server. I'm OK on a single file but can't find a solution for a folder.

Cheers,

Auto generate ps files to send to Distiller

Hi Paul,

I have missing images in documents processed by Quark Server but don't see any errors in any of the logs, all pass through OK.

I have tried with the auto picture import set to on, off and verify with exactly the same results.

PDF size comparison

duh! helps if I include the image compression (sorry folks), but still twice as big at 9.6MB as applescript version ... and yes, I can clarify that all other settings are exactly the same ;0)
