Quark 6.5 Server Edition

I have started working freelance at a company who use Quark 6.5 - in a server edition.

Is there a patch available to take it to 6.52 server edition?

Cheers

Adding/deleting guides

If I had inherited the job myself, i would clear all the guides and start a fresh. To clear all the guide in one, make sure that the top edge and the left edge of the document area are touching the rulers at the top and left. If the guide manager is not helping you, hold down the Shift, Ctrl, alt an...

Links to trash

Oh my god! I thought that we were the only ones to suffer with the very same problem. We initially placed the problem with Illustrator - tried to fix this with an upgrade to CS3 suite - but it still happens - so when you go back to your files - they are in the un-amended state. The only way we have ...

MAJOR problem with PPD manager (qxp 7.3)

Nice one rcantin.

I too, have been plagued with a huge list of ppd's.

How we got around this was to make a new folder and called it "Quark PPD" and copied in all the ppd's we need to use and then just told the ppd manager to use the auxiliary folder which was the one we made.

Is this a normal behaviour from Quark 7 ?

have to agree with migman - copy from word and paste into photoshop - after all photoshop is for images - quark is for copy and page make-up as illustrator is to vectors.

Very slow opening files with V7.3

also check in quark, under Utilities, in the Suitcase Fusion XT preferences, make sure that you UNCHECK the option to Activate Font in Embedded Objects. Quark will inspect every image and try to open any fonts it finds - this will really slow it down!

Import text/picture problem - frozen browser window

I dont know if this will help, but under your Utilities menu in quark, there is a option called Suitcase Fusion XT Preferences and in there, there is a option to open fonts in embedded images. There was a time here, I had that checked, so when I imported an image, Quark Checked to see if there were ...
