Quark updates announcements

In spite of my Advantage Plan, QuarkUpdate did not automatically tell me the QXP 16.1.2 update (41070), so I stayed on version 41052). The online service solved my problem and I also had to create a new user account. I hope the Quark forum is not brain dead and I want the forum to announce any new u...

Re: Opentype feature

Thank you, Mike.
I've just modified the calt feature in my font (@cswsh1 are the basic letters @cswsh are my new swash letters). That's not ideal, but that works.
feature calt {
# Contextual Alternates
sub @cswsh1' [space comma period colon semicolon exclam question uni000D ] by @cswsh;
} calt;

Opentype feature

Hi, May you tell me if the Historical forms as Opentype features are incorporated in QXP2020. I mean particularly the Fina feature (variant as final form of a word/last letter of a word) for some swash letter.?

html5 functions

One regret, after QuarkImmedia and QInteractiveDesigner (Flash), is that they do not have an extension of html5 functions, in particular for creating drop-down menus, and for creating forms and integrating code into a page. Do users have any other suggestions for improving the features or the web in...

Vertical orientation of the specifications' frame

On the precedent version, it was possible to use the shortcut cmd+shift+f to change the horizontal orientation of the specifications' frame to vertical. The shortcut does not work with QXP 2018 version. Should I use another shortcut with my SwissFrench version? Thanks!

Suitcase Fusion 19.1.0

I encountered a problem with the upgrade of Suitcase Fusion 19.1.0; it seems that the SF Type Core does not recognize the extension 2017.

Re: Font management / Extensis Suitcase

Hi,
Just copy your existing ExtensisFontManagementQXT2017.xnt and drag it to /Library/Application Support/Quark/QuarkXPress_2018/Xtensions.

Re: Javascript folder

Thank you Jim, thank you Iresh,
I made transformations in the «FindChangeByList» javascript file (jsx) and its text file bundled by default with InDesign, for typographic corrections according French rules. Is it possible to adapt it according to the javascript rules used by Quark?

Re: GREP?

Due to automation to speed up working with Quark, think that GREP is a necessity — for search and replace and in stylesheets too.
