What PPD are you using? The problem is that XPress prints well to Postscript output devices. If you try to print directly out of XPress to a non-postscript printer, output is unpredictable - as you're finding out. So, it's not really an XPress *problem* -- it's XPress working as it is documented to ...

Validation Code problem

In a situation like this, your best bet may be to call Tech Support. It's free now. It's possible to load an upgrade without having previous versions installed; you do need to have the previous version serial number, though, and you input it rather than browsing to locate teh previous version itself...

There was an issue with RIPs and "unknown" in the queue in v6.0. It was fixed in 6.1. What version are you running?

If you must run 6.0, there's an XT for FixUnknown.

If, after opening the document, you can access the Preferences, try turning on Greek Pictures. See if that gives you relief. If it does, it's a RAM or video problem.
