Re: QuarkXPress 8 compatibility with Windows 8

Hi, whether QuarkXPress was ever supported on Windows 8.1, you can see here: https://forums.quark.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4608&f=14&t=4608#p26393 However "not supported" does not necessarily mean "will not run". It just means, we did not test it and will not help with issues that are specific to th...

Re: Patch for iOS issue with QX2017? Please help

Hi jgold, this issue unfortunately happens because Apple made some changes in later versions of iOS. We don’t consider this a bug in QuarkXPress 2017, as it worked with the newest version of iOS available when QuarkXPress 2017 shipped. When Apple made this change, QuarkXPress 2018 was current. There...

Re: Option drag duplicate destroys object hierarchy

Hi Chandler, so you are implying that when we released QuarkXPress 9 we planned that a few years later QuarkXPress wouldn't run anymore? ;-) Actually, we don't do that. I still have QuarkXPress 9 running on Mojave, many other customers too. It runs ok, with a few issues. It shows though how solid Qu...

Re: How to rotate the image inside the frame by 45 degrees?

Hi Jiri,

that seems to be a bug, works on MacOS but not on Windows.
I'll filed it. Thank you for reporting it.

Thanks
Matthias

Re: First feedback to QuarkXPress 2018

The movement in the document is even faster. Much better rendering of bitmap images compared to version 2016. Previews are sharp, zoom almost instantaneous. Rendering graphics and fonts - great. I have to praise the developers of the quark! Thank you for the feedback, Jiri, and glad that you like Q...

Re: Importing Powerpoint into an epub?

Hi jgold,

you need to use a format that is web-compatible, which PPT isn't. Maybe convert the PPT to PDF first and then import? Or as HTML?

Thanks
Matthias
