upgrading to Panther

... just browse to library--->preferences and trash the quark folder. then go to the quarkxpress folder in applications and choose the "for system" folder. run the quarkxpress components. this should do the trick :-)

yeah you bet it doesnt work with the dns information.
i did resolve this by removing the server info and then adding it again (after the qla thing was wrking), havent had problems since
maybe you could try with the latest qla version quark has to offer :idea:

if it is mac os X which you are working on then the correct way to uninstall qla 2.5 would be to go to the quark license administrator folder under applications and browse down to the server folder. in here should be a folder called " uninstallerdata" run the file 'u nistall_qla_server.command' and ...

hard to judge it from this one 8) ...but this is surely a machine level conflict. remove qxp from the machine altogether and if possible reinstall it under the user id when logged under the domain.
This might just be it!

if what brad suggested doesnt work try to go ahead and clean the "font cache" from your machines, panther/jaguar. there are utilities like panther cache cleaner which might help.
since you have suitcase then clean suitcase font cache too...ask extensis about it... :wink:

Mobile license problems

you wouldnt have problems running the mobile license (or the second machine) on the same network as xpress 6.0 has no network checks like in 4/5. :P the printing issue is not related to this surely. maybe a printer driver issue. :wink:
