Column Divide

If this happens, I also want to be able to control the length, as I seldom want my rule to come right to the top or booom of a coumn.
And while the are about it, make sure to include line weight and color.
I find if we don't spell out the particlulars some engineer assumes they know what you want.

Things we like about Quark!

Wild Alaskan As an ex-product manager for Live Picture, I can assure you that some one does indeed own the rights to it. I am not sure who that is at this time, but I suspect that it is John Sculley, ex-CEO of Apple. So ANY copying of this software is a fellony, regardless of what you think any one ...

Help! Not all Fonts are showing up in the selection lists

The best thing you can do is to use some font management software. I personally use Font Reserve, and am able to switch between any fonts as I need them. Also I don't jave to have many installed at any one time, making XPress run quicker. As far as we are concerned Font Management is a prerequisite ...

Mac/Quark stability

Every time I come to check out the forum, about every couple of days, I see that nearly every problem concerns the Mac. Most of these involve OSX. Am I right in assuming that the PC is a lot more stable? Or: 1 There are many more Mac users than PC. I guess this is the case but certainly not likely t...

Bloody disgrace

It was called Live Picture, and I had the privilege to be its product manager for a short time. It was really a great application, that never got the attention it could have deserved.

Bloody disgrace

I've been done so many times, I am beyond shame.
As a memory jog, how about Pixel Paint Pro, Color Studio and Image Studio?

Bloody disgrace

I guess I don't like to have anyone sitting on a market without some competition to keep them honest. This is what made Quark so arrogant and disdainful of their users. They knew that we had nowhere else to go, and one way or anther they took advantage of the situation. Competition keeps features re...

Even though we are all in the choir to some extent, we still hang out here making sure that we stay connected with Quark. Having been involved since 1.0 and having trained hundreds of XPress users, I am still use the application, care very much for the many friends I have made through it, and wish t...

Then eat what you have, Version 6 is what we have and our job is to make the most we can of it. To throw up your hands and complain will not make it better. If you need to go elsewhere to get your work done, so be it. No one is compelling us to work with Quark 6, (unless your boss is!) in fact there...
