Re: A vertical rule only on left side of paragraph

Thanks again Sirish. Using text shading with negative offsets gave the result I was looking for.

Re: A vertical rule only on left side of paragraph

Thanks you Sirish for such a complete explanation - I should have found that. I guess the feature was added in an upgrade and I never noticed. It does exactly what I need for this job. It's almost perfect, but here's a request for the future: if the offset from the frame to the text allowed a negati...

A vertical rule only on left side of paragraph

I'd like to be able to style paragraphs with a vertical rule on one side only. I don't really mind how it's achieved but the important thing is that when the overall text is edited, the paragraphs with a vertical rule flow with the text changes and take the vertical rule style along with them. (I do...

Re: QXP 2017 LetterPair Kerning Keyboard Command Change

I'm posting in this thread again so as to bring it to the top of the list and hopefully to Quark's notice (grafiksol, sorry to hijack your post).

Quark, I'm begging, pleading that you restore the keyboard commands for kerning back to their previous increments of 1 and 10.

Re: Search for any number

Hi Jean-Marie. Thanks for your suggestion though in this case it is not applicable. I have lines that are styled with a paragraph style, but the numbers are not individually styled in any way, eg superior figs, so it is not possible to look for a styled character. I guess, in brief, my question is: ...

Search for any number

Hello. I have to style some, but not all, numbers in a long document as Superior Figs, using a character level style. I must check each case visually so cannot make a global style change but must use "Change then find" . It would be quicker if I could search for any number instead of searching for 1...

Re: Font Explorer Pro X v5.5, for Quark 2017 ?

I had asked Monotype support about it but their replies weren't 100% helpful. I believe that if you buy FontExplorerPro v6 that it does come with a compatible extension for Quark 2017. Thanks Matthias for the pointer about the location of Extensions. In case it's of any use to anyone: I tried the FE...

Re: Font Explorer Pro X v5.5, for Quark 2017 ?

Thanks Matthias.

That link is for FEX v6. so doesn't solve my query. If I wanted to test the older extension with the latest Xpress, where would I place it now that Quark 2017 doesn't have a folder in Applications? Or is the idea a non-starter?

Font Explorer Pro X v5.5, for Quark 2017 ?

Does anyone know if the FontExplorerPro (v5.5) extension still works in Quark2017 ? I ask because I notice that the extension version 2.2 didn't change between 2015 and 2016 (according to Font Explorer's own Plug-in Manager) so I'm wondering if maybe it still will work in 2017. I would test it but d...

Position of current font name in popup list

Xpress 2017, v13.0.1. If I select some text in a document with the intention of changing, say, only the font weight, then I select the font name in the measurements palette using the mouse, when the popup font list appears the current font is not selected by the mouse pointer and one must search for...
