Re: Turn off WYSIWYG font menu?

Hi Franz, Mike,

Thank you for your valuable inputs.
Yes, I was talking about the Mac version. Win still has it.
We removed the feature when we moved to Cocoa.

I would like to deliver voices in this thread to our team.

Re: Turn off WYSIWYG font menu?

Thank you for your opinion.

I wonder how many others prefer WYSIWYG font menu off by default.
Please write it here if there is anyone preferring a simple, not-WYSIWYG font menu.

Re: Turn off WYSIWYG font menu?

Hi glenbattams,

The preference isn't available in 10.x anymore.
You can temporally turn it off by pressing shift key as MikeWenzloff wrote.

By the way, it would be nice if you could write why you want to make it off by default. Because of slowness?

Re: QXP 10 thinks picture box is next box

Hi JWilheim ,

I got the same problem in 10.1 on Windows 7, 64bit machine. The issue was fixed in 10.2.
Are you using the latest version?

Re: QLA Heartbeat issues

How about using Check Out License menu under Utility menu?
The number of check out days can be extended by using QLA client, until the number which your license allows.
I always do it when I should research a crash issue so that my license doesn't expire even temporary.

Re: PDFs are slightly the wrong size

Red, I got the whole figure of this issue. One thing sure is, you don’t need to check your environment anymore. Your QuarkXPress is working fine. Still there is unknown part how AdFast works. Regarding the layout size info in Summary pane in PDF options, it is always showing the size with using poin...

Re: PDFs are slightly the wrong size

Hi Red, I just noticed the size in general pane here is also showing 131.939mm x 182.033mm. Still the exported PDF is recognized as 132mm x 182mm by Acrobat CC and Illustrator CC. You wrote "It's throwing up errors in AdFast". Is AdFast a kind of preflight software? If so, would you check this PDF I...

Re: PDFs are slightly the wrong size

Omegaman,

Setting Bleed Type: to Page Items means to forget bleed idea. Page items are printed within registration mark area in this case. And only inside the page is printed when you also set Registration Marks to Off.

Re: PDFs are slightly the wrong size

Hi Omegaman, I assume your document has the default bleed value 3.175mm. Could you check the Bleed pane of the PDF setting? In case the bleed has such value, you must be able to write the correct size PDF by intentionally setting the bleed value to 0mm. Regarding the initial issue of Red, I have no ...

Re: Fill picture box proportionately

Hi theskanner, I believe you want to fit an image to a box based on short sides like in the right box in the attached image. An image is fit based on long sides when you use QuarkXPress menu to fit an image proportionally. The left box in the attached picture is it. "Maintain picture attributes" opt...
