QXP8.... When will it be ??

So, will the UK version be much, much closer in price to the US one, allowing for the fact that 1 GBP buys nearly 2 USDs? Bet not. Will I (or whoever) be able to source the program from the States at a significantly lower price then? Bet not. Sorry Matthias but I think you know this is one of my ma...

They can't release QuarkXPress 8 yet !!!

There's still the price. If the upgrade costs $100 in the USA then it shouldn't cost 100 in the UK, but about 52 at today's rates. Well.... No sympathy. As everyone knows, compared to the rest of us (especially over here in the Colonies) the British are as rich as Croesus. Noblesse oblige, to coin ...

Printing Pamphlet

Lately I've been looking at a really nice little book I picked up - The QuarkXPress IdeaBook by Chuck Green - that is an illustrated catalog of QXP templates for common projects like pamphlets & brochures (and everything else) and comes with a Windows / Mac CD with all of the QXP templates for the d...

They can't release QuarkXPress 8 yet !!!

I like 7.31, but will be quite happy to upgrade to Quark 8 if the upgrade price in is converted from the $ price and not just the same digits ... and installing version 8 does not automatically cancel authorisation of my version 7 ... (And, as a further thought, if any future version after version ...

They can't release QuarkXPress 8 yet !!!

Are there any previews - screenshots etc. anywhere? Actually, there are a few pictures scattered about on the internet and a Macworld review / preview:http://www.macworld.com/article/133661/2008/05/quarkxpress8.html?lsrc=top_3 Everything written about it so far indicates that there are a few visual...

Send in the clones...

Macs were always priced in the stratosphere, and these clones, although cheaper, were still more than your average PC. Can't recall the pricing back then, but if they weren't more, they were comparably priced. So it wasn't a big enough incentive for people to make the switch. Hmmm...Many clones wer...
