Re: PDF problems - band across pictures

As you've already guessed, I think this is a transparency issue - do you have any boxes that are overlapping the area in the .qxp? If so, try and move the edges… You could also try making sure the images are all 'at the top' (i.e. bring to front).

Re: Picture Preview Problem

I have this same problem and not only with legacy documents but if I copy the image box from one .qxp to another or sometimes within the same .qxp! I think it is something to do with the images being in an old format… You could try opening the image in photoshop and re-saving, I have had some succes...

Re: Problem importing Doc files

It might be the formatting in the .doc that is the problem rather than Quark. Do you have any style sheets applied to the text box in Quark? If so try removing them and see what happens, also make sure you have the 'include style sheets' box checked when importing. You could also try making a copy o...

Find and Replace based on text shade

Hi all… Is there a way to 'find and replace' a text phrase that is set to a shade of 50% and replace with another text phrase set to 100%? I have a recurring dialogue box that appears many times in a catalogue and I need to change part of the text from 50% to 100%. I realise that it is probably bad ...

Quark 9.1 on two machines

Hi all I am a Mac user since version 4! But I now have an issue where I would like to install my current 9.1 version which is on my mac at home (yes, I know there has been 10 and 2015 since!) on a machine in my office so I can do some work there too (and keep it on the Mac at home where I work most ...

Re: item find / change problem

Ah, that fly out panel! - Many thanks, that has worked perfectly - thank you.

Do you know if there is also a way to find and replace grid lines within tables so that I may also change the thickness of those lines?

Many thanks again.

Re: item find / change problem

Hi Sarbjit, there is no 'acquire panel attributes' in the fly out menu.

I am running Quark 9.5.4 on a mac OS 10.7.5

Thanks for any advice.

item find / change problem

Hi all, I'm having some problems with getting the 'item find/change' to work! I have many lines in a document that I want to change from 0.712pt thickness to 1 pt - I check the width box in the line panel and fill in the line widths and when I choose 'find next' nothing happens at all. The line thic...

Re: Quark 9.5.4 and Yosemite

Hi Erik, Yes, I already have 9.5.4 installed so should not need to reinstall after upgrading… Thanks for the info.

No more labels? Oh, that's a shame - I do those but not as much as you by the sound of it! But, still they were a good aid to finding things quickly!

Thanks for the reply.

Quark 9.5.4 and Yosemite

Hi Guys, I realise I am massively behind on both OS X and Quark - but if something's working well, why change it and spend hours just getting back to where you were at before? However… I'm thinking of upgrading from my old OS X 10.7.5 to Yosemite - basically I have been having lots of problems with ...
