Force to admit. its gone be hard to emulate applescript.I dont think any programming language gone be able to do what you want....except applescript on mac....Because of the quark doc level.......like (story) inside (text box) inside (page) inside (spread) inside (document)

I guess this should be relatively easy to solve with a script. Iterate over /oldFiles/ and /newFiles/ and calculate the scale ratio for each image. then iterate over the image boxes in the quark layout and apply that ratio to the offset and scale for each box. Maybe a bit more complicate task... ev...

Sorry but coercing the data solve only the first part of the problem

applescript dont recognize the converted data
even if the debuger NOW shows the good data
in a (if) condition, it dont recognize the number as real number
still trying to resolve!!!

as is said on another post reporting same problem:you have to force data type by coercing functionright after getting dataset n to .... coerce n to real or integer or string
