Work Flow Problems...

Ibz, Is there a certain way you are saving the files? I have Quark 7.31 and CS3 here, doing high-end output. So far, there have been no major issues that I can recall. Spot colors from Illustrator are read by Quark, and Photoshop files are OK, too. Are you making changes in the save dialogs from AI ...

Opening file takes a very long time.

Saving in Quark 7

Yes,

I must concur with the others.

Have been working with Quark since v.3.x. Can't recall a single issue like this.

Do you, perhaps, have some type of a preference or server issue? Is this happening with other applications?

Allan,

I wonder if it has to do with the redesigned type engine in Quark 7, perhaps with Unicode support?

Hope you got your issue resolved...

[strong]Glenn McDowall:[/strong][quote:e052a8bbbd]Expect a color management best practices document from us early in the New Year, by the way.
Did you ever get around to this :?:

Well, Glenn,

If it's any consolation, Thai New Year will only be next week!

Stuck drop shadows

Are you running v. 7.31?

I had some issues with drop shadows on earlier versions, but the latest updates seem to have fixed things.

If you are running the latest, did you try trashing your prefs and relaunching Quark?
