Eastern Europe characters

As others have noted, this is a font, and not a Quark issue. Where you may run into problems, though, is how much language support a particular typeface offers. For example, in Adobe's OT releases, they are normally broken into two sets--Standard (STD) and Pro. Generally, standard typefaces cover mo...

Automatic spell check like WORD

Yes--I would agree with Greg. Especially when it comes to technical terms. I like Entourage quite well, for example, but detest the autocorrect. Besides, correct me if I'm wrong, but in the ideal print design workflow, we would be getting pretty much final edited copy to flow in to begin with. Oh we...

Export to PDF 1.5 Needed

[strong]almaink:[/strong]It's not the JAWS engine it's Quark. The latest version of JAWS supports PDF version 1.5 PDF's.

Yes, that would be good. I think it has to do with the JAWS engine, though, AFAIK...

Yes, generally, when I have infuriating type issues, (also with clean font files), this fixes it.

text reflows differently in 7

My have to do with the different type handling in v.7 vs. v.6. This was a consistent gripe with type experts regarding older versions of Quark. Admittedly, support for using quality fonts with good type metrics was virtually nonexistent. When you are opening files from legacy versions, do you get a ...

As I am sure graham will attest--it usually is a font or extension conflict that is the show stopper.

Tables, tables, tables

What were you including in the tables?

There must be something seriously wrong if this is happening to you. Granted, some of Quark's table implementation can be admittedly hokey, you shouldn't be having these output issues...

Converting Indesign Files

There is an obvious commercial interest reason why this will probably never come to pass (on both the part of Adobe and Quark). Besides, the conversion for Quark to ID covers older versions. And the Markzware utilities are far from perfect, as well... Alma is quite correct--placing PostScript art is...
