Indexing-QuarkXPress 2016 Windows

Have read the help topic on creating a first level run-in index, but so far have not been able to add an index entry. My View menu doesn't have an index tab. The Windows>Index launches an index palette but all options in it are grayed out. If I place the cursor in a sample word or highlight it, in t...

QuarkXPress 2016 HTML5 publications: update toc hyperlinks

Hi, Have built a TOC using lists. Manually created a hyperlink for each list entry linking to a page. Is there any way to automatically update all hyperlinks if I add pages to the document that change link to page settings? Or does each page link (after a newly inserted page) have to be manually re-...

Solved: enter key on Windows computer numeric keypad. (Was trying with keyboard's other enter key.)

Page Breaks

Is it possible to create a page break above a new paragraph style that I added, called Heading1? This is a multi-page flow text document with a single master. I am using Heading1 (larger font, bold type) to begin and label each new section, and, if possible would like to page break before each Headi...

Re: Image Insertion in Text Flow

Update:

Thank you, Matthias.

Followed your instructions and got it to work. What I had been doing wrong: cutting the image not the box. So, "Cut it (the box, not the image)" was the critical item for me.

Success! :)

Re: Image Insertion in Text Flow

OK, our posts must have crossed in cyberspace. :) I had tried the instructions that you suggested. What occurs when I paste back the cut picture is that even if I place the insertion point correctly where I want it to be, the pasted back picture (absent any picture box) is not at the insertion point...

Re: Image Insertion in Text Flow

Hi Matthias, I am taking a text box with flow, creating a space large enough for a picture as an illustration, using a text insertion point to place the picture box in the center of the space created. Would like the placed picture box to move with the text if new text is added, so that the picture's...

Image Insertion in Text Flow

Must be doing something wrong because so far unable to insert a picture image (JPEG, PNG, etc.) into a text flow and keep it anchored so that when new text/paragraph is added above the image location, the image and text below it flows downward. If I keep the image's runaround, the text will advance ...

Re: Importing PDF for HTML5 publishing

Hi Matthias,

Thank you for these suggestions, which I can try out.

However, I may decide to redo the project by cutting/pasting text and images into a new project, instead of importing. This way, I can create a "clean" format, link and flow where needed.

Wonderful features, great publishing. :)
