Background of animation flashes white on page reload

Hi Ben

First of all , let me just say , your site is stunning!! Brilliant work.

What application are you using to create your HTML pages?
If possible could you set the Window Mode (wmode) of the swf container to transparent and then check.

Thanks,
Kabir

Hi Jacques Transparent , windowless projectors are possible using some 3rd party applications. I tried one and the results were decent. You just need to make sure that you dont assign any background color to the layout so that you can make it transparent using the 3rd party application. One such app...

Create a Digital Clock with 4 actions in QuID

Hi Kathy

Did you copy the corresponding "image" folder of the HTML page as well on the web server?

This should hold the swf file for the clock.

Kabir

Create a Digital Clock with 4 actions in QuID

Hi Kathy After saving the swf file , you need to use it in the web layout using get picture command. I see you have done this but I think the box is too small as compared to the size of your swf. For the swf to work properly on the web page you need to right click on the picture box and do a "Fit Bo...

Create a Digital Clock with 4 actions in QuID

Hi Jacques To make the clock play a sound every hour you will need to add the following actions just before the last action (i.e. the run script action) 1) Apply the Control If action and select Expression from the object type field. In the expression field type - Date.GetMinutes()==0 && Date.GetSec...

Tip: How to build a preloader (example)

Hi Kim I dont think its a problem with the swf having already run once as the swf is freshly loaded on every page. When you export multiple instances of a single shared content swf layout , it creates multiple instances of swf files in the "image" directory of your html page. So , in your case there...

Picture sizes and exporting

Hi Jonathan Yes, only the cropped portion of the image is exported into the swf. e.g. if a full image takes 18 kb in the swf , when half of it is cropped , it would reduce to about 9k. Please note that if you export both the complete image and the cropped image together in one swf then both are expo...
