Hamburger Style Menu

Post by lbdesign » 13 Oct 2014, 08:41

Hi - I'm just starting out on App Studio. My design calls for a hamburger style icon that springs a menu.

I'm thinking that I'd need to use the gallery action to simulate a spring (or sliding) menu along the lines of what Apple OS8 does along the bottom of the screen?

Has anyone set something like this up?

Suggestions much appreciated!

Cheers,

Hi lb,

do you need an ADDITIONAL Hamburger menu? Have you seen the one that App Studio puts in automatically?

Thanks
Matthias

Hi again!

Ah, I haven't seen anywhere that App Studio does that automatically! Is that auto positioned or can it be moved to fit in with our design?

Cheers

Hi lb,

it is part of the native app itself, so not the content.

Try the test app and you'll see it in there. You can adjust colors of the app shell.

App here: https://itunes.apple.com/app/app-studio ... 05380?mt=8

Thanks
Matthias

Hi Matthias

Excellent, thank you.

Can I ask if it's possible to switch it off within App Studio so we can add our own in a different position?

Thanks

Hi lb,

not via the standard interfaces.

The App Studio team does offer customization which will be programmed for you, that is of course an additional charge based on effort. So if you are interested, I can connect you with the professional services team for a quote.

Thanks
Matthias
