Legacy Doc Converter for QXP10 users

Post by Elsinore » 17 Oct 2014, 12:57

Stumbled across this excellent doc converter on Quark's site:

http://quark.com/About_Quark/Press/Pres ... ?ncid=2032

(Once you get to the downloads area, click File Type: "Other" to find it.)

It converts legacy Quark documents (v3-6) into QXPv9.1, which can be opened in v10. I get lots of legacy QXP layouts that need to be redesigned as tablet layouts in App Studio QXPv10, and this converter works great.

I have kept a version of QXPv9 running for the sole purpose of opening legacy QXP layouts and resaving them so they could be opened in v10. Once QXPv10.5 is released, which will be compatible with Yosemite, Quark has indicated it MAY not support QXPv9 in Yosemite, so this doc converter is a lifesaver. For my purposes anyway, it works great. I've stuck it in my dock next to QXPv10 and will use it instead of keeping QXPv9 running. :D
