Metadata rejected

Post by glacierparkmag » 22 Apr 2015, 09:01

In my app submission to apple my metadata was rejected.

Here's the message from Apple:

To clarify, the Application Description needs to contain the following:

- the length of the subscription
- the price of the subscription
- information about the auto-renewable nature of the subscription
- links to the privacy policy and terms of use

... But I'm wondering where I update this. Is it in the app build itself or just on my publication web page?

Hi Glacierpark,

in App Studio you only reference subscriptions, the nature of them (length and price) are made in itunesconnect.apple.com. Please note that Apple's pages feature "tabs" maybe you haven't seen them.

Thanks
Matthias

This app submission is just an upgrade and the subscription details were set long ago on iTunes Connect. But now Apple seems to be saying they're incorrect, which baffles me. Do I need to simply set out the parameters of the subscription on the support page of my web site as well to satisfy Apple?

Am I making sense?

Hi Glacier,

not sure what happened, maybe you can ask Apple. I don't think we changed anything. Apple sometimes does. When we submitted the last version of DesignPad, we suddenly had to fill out fields that weren't there before and therefore couldn't immediately submit either.

Let me know the outcome please, as I am interested in what has happened.

Thanks
Matthias

Now I see the problem. In the app build, the images of the magazine covers appear fuzzy and the information on the subscription is incomplete and in an almost unreadable yellow...

I can send you a screenshot if you'd like...

Matthias, I noticed a new version of app studio was released after I brought this up. Does this fix the problem? I never heard back from you.

Hi Glacier,

I followed up with you via email and to the last reply I sent I am still waiting for your answer. Can you respond to that please? I sent it May 7, maybe it got lost?

By the way, last Tuesday I helped a customer to submit an app similar to yours and in that app everything looked fine. So will be interesting what Apple says there.

Thanks
Matthias

I got a response on the ticket, saying to use my bundle ID as part of my in app purchase ID. We'll see if that works.
