v10.1 web view layering problem

Post by Elsinore » 14 Mar 2014, 09:41

If an animation is placed in a web view box on any layer, it renders any button action or scroll functions on layers ABOVE it null. In other words, the web view box appears to be migrating to the top layer and obscuring the functionality of anything ON TOP of it in the layout (whether those interactive items are on the same layer or on other layers on top of the animation). We can no longer have an HTML5 animation play and have any interactivity on top of it, as it obscures all interactivity on the page within the dimensions of the web view box. Help!

v10.1 web view layering problem

If someone from Quark could respond, I'd be grateful. This is having a big impact on our publication. I am having to build the mag entirely different because of this problem, which didn't exist before. We can no longer have any scroll zone, button or interactive function on top of a web view box. This means no animated buttons; no animation in the background with scrolling text on top; no page turn tabs if a web view box touches them. Please help.

Have opened a help ticket, uploaded an example layout and the situation has been confirmed by Quark tech. Problem sent to product team for fix, hopefully in an upcoming update. :-)
