Hi Manuel,

it might feel longer, however Yosemite was released not even two weeks ago.

We are currently looking at first week of November.

If you are already on Yosemite, 10.2.1 - though unsupported on Yosemite - works ok, a few hiccups just.

Regards
Matthias

Quark xpress10 .2.1 works quite nicely on a beta version of Yosemite installed on a macbook air and which has not been updated. It just refuses to register a file in a lower version of quark. Impossible to launch version 10 on our Imacs with the official version of Yosemite.
Kern invalid access etc.....

QuarkXpress 9.5.4.1 refuses imports EPSF on my computer, but accepts PSD imports. My husband's computer accepts EPS imports in the same version but stays inert if asked to export PDF.
So we juggle with our different files.
Great fun

Hi Laurence,

understand. That's why we recommend to wait until QuarkXPress officially supports Yosemite, even if that means to wait 2-3 weeks after release of the new OS.

Thanks
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Allow me to explain please:
If I could tell you a definite date, then it would be a marketing date, e.g like a nice date (Nov 11) or 22 days after release of Yosemite. However we want to release 10.5 as soon as possible to give you Yosemite support as quickly as possible.

We were almost ready to release and then somebody here in the forums found a new bug, slowdown when exporting PDFs and displaying the progress bar. We see that as a severe bug and therefore are fixing that before we are releasing 10.5.

That means, that we do not have a definite date currently, just an estimate, which is in about one week from today currently. However that might change (forward or backward), depending on testing results and progress.

Does that explain it?

Thanks
Matthias

I've recently installed Yosemite, and now I cant even get Quark to open. I get a message that says; "QuarkXPress quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically."

Hi everybody,

quick update, we are currently in the final certification tests of QuarkXPress 10.5 and so far everything looks good, all bugs known and reported are fixed. We need a couple of days to conduct the last remaining tests and if everything runs as expected, we'll be able to release QuarkXPress 10.5 by Thursday.

Thanks
Matthias

Hi everybody,

10.5 is ready to be submitted, final tests have been successfully passed last night and pre-release testers confirmed that.

We will push it to the web site tonight.

:!: One small issue: We found that QuarkXPress 10 cannot be updated via Auto Updater due to the new code-signing technology introduced by Apple in 10.9.5 and 10.10, so we disabled it for all OS X versions. So if you are using QuarkXPress under OS X you need to use the manual download option. :!:

Under Windows you can use manual update and Auto Updater of 10.2.1.

Regards
Matthias
