Aligning table figures 9.5.4

Post by Keith 21 » 13 Apr 2016, 09:28

I am using 9.5.4. I am trying to get all the figures within a table to align, but the kerning is causing anything with the figure 1 in to close up. I have tried changing the character attributes by checking the OpenType tabular figures box. The box is greyed out but it allows me to check the box. This does not make any difference to the characters. I do not want to turn off the automatic kerning. Can anyone help.

HI Keith 21,

If you wish to change the kerning b/w 2 characters, you need to place the cursor b/w the characters and then apply the kerning value.
If you wish to change the tracking for a selected text , you need to select the text and then apply the tracking value.
The OpenType features are only available for OpenType fonts which provide support for the specific features. Only in that case the the label will appear enabled?

On which layout medium are you working? Print/ Web/ App Studio?
