Placing IPad Apps created by QuarkXPress on a school server

Post by MickA » 04 Aug 2011, 01:47

Hi
I am a school teacher and we are using Ipads for our students. Can we place Ipad apps onto the school server that we have created with QuarkXpress
without having to publish to the Apple Store? The school server is Windows Based. Thanks, MickA

Hi MickA,
that's really a question for Apple, not for Quark.
Using the normal developer program, Apple doesn't allow that. Apple has an enterprise program available, which exactly allows that. However, one of their requirements for the Enterprise Program is that you need a Duns code. Technically from the App there's no real difference and App Studio allows you to create Apps for the Enterprise program (without having to code).
Does your school have a Duns code?

Please see http://developer.apple.com/programs/ios/enterprise/and you should really ask Apple about it.
Thanks
Matthias
