Import file into selected text

Post by rgbherman » 23 Jul 2013, 11:45

I have a tagged file with stylesheets that I want to import into a selection of text in a Quark doc. Is it possible to do that without the Em Software?
I have tried this:
tell application "QuarkXPress"
set convert quotes to true
set import styles to true

import from alias "Macintosh HD:Users:rherman:Desktop:Automation:CIPtoQuark.txt"
end tell

As alternate route, I got System Events to recognize the import from the menu but couldn't then proceed to file selection. I have also tried copy and paste but I lose the stylesheets. In case it helps this is the text I am trying to import into the selected Quark text. Not doable?
