Linotype fonts in Quark 6

Post by stuartbrett » 04 Jun 2004, 02:25

I own the linotype font library and am using Extensis Suitcase X1 to manage all these fonts. Extensis supply an auto activation extension. with certain (random) fonts Quark refuses to print them siting that they are damaged - I have confirmed they are not. The same font however will print out of Illustrator, Photoshop etc. Has anyone else experienced this and if so has anyone got any solutions?

the same thing happens to me... quark ist telling me that my Fruttiger Linotype is corrupted, even if I re-download the font from the linotype website. strangely enough the "corrupt" fonts print correctly...

Same problem with ITC truetype fonts. Font Sliencer is a joke - there are real font issures in Qxp 6, just supressing alert boxes is no fix.

Scott,

The font silencer Xtension will not fix font problems for you.. and you are right when you say that there are font problems

THis Xtension will stop those alerts which appear while printing like the one which says the font will be replaced by courier.. atleast aaaahh .. a releif
