Centering Web pages in browser window

Post by Guy M » 28 Jan 2013, 03:36

I see from previous forum posts that web page centering has been a problem. I am new to website creation in Quark and have just designed a site that looks great but always opens to the left when viewing in any browser. I want it to be centered when the browser is opened. Has this issue yet been addressed by the Quark engineers or do we still have to "bodge" things to get them to work?

Centering Web pages in browser window

I just centered one very easily this morning. It took me about 5 seconds. You just have to open your exported HTML page in any HTML editor (I use Komodo Edit - it's a free download) and then change the first instance of align="left" to align="center". Then save and close. That centers the pages perfectly in my browser and has worked so far on every page I've tried it on.
