popup window in "web mode"

Post by ceekym » 19 Dec 2012, 04:07

Just downloaded the trial version of Quark 9, and I'd like to know if there's a way to create a "popup" window when creating a project in the "web" mode.

There are probably several ways to do this, depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

An easy way would be to design both of your pages as separate pages, the original page and the page you want to use as the pop-up page.

Then open the Hyperlinks menu (WINDOWS > HYPERLINKS).

Select any text in your first layout that you want to turn into a hyperlink.

Click on the little icon in the HYPERLINKS window that looks like an Earth with a plus sign on it to create a new hyperlink.

In the field that reads TYPE, select PAGE

From the PAGE field, select the second page you created.

Now this is how you make it a pop-up. From the TARGET field, select "BLANK".

Any page assigned with a BLACK target will open in another window...essentially making it a pop-up.
