how do i match my background colour to the colour in a graphic....... is it possible to add a pdf to these posts so i can show what i am talking about ??new to this forum, hopeing for a quick response. thanks

As far as I get what you mean, you can pick the color in say Photoshop and then create a new colour in QuarkXPress with the values you've noted. If you needed sth else, please post back.

Hi Randy,

You can use a free cloud hosting site where you can upload your PDF file, then post here its web URL (you can try, let's say, http://www.mediafire.com - it's free), or you can take a screenshot and upload it to a free photo hosting site, then post its URL (try imageshack.us).

Well I tried for same just used InDesign CS4 instead of Quarkpress but not getting best result, so will try this out with the help of Quarkpress9 hope will get better result this time!![:)]

Oh! if the mismatch is occuring at the PDF level though the values are the same in QuarkXPress, then its most probably a question of color management not set properly in Quark before PDFing the file.
