Color Manager.qrc error for QuarkXPress 8.5.1

Post by samiamlife » 04 Dec 2011, 22:13

Hi I have recently bought a new iMac with the new Lion OS. I used Migration assistant to copy all my stuff to the new iMac from the old. And now I can't open Quark. Every Time I try I get an Initialization Error saying "QuarkXPress cannot be launched because one or more software components needed by the application dare missing or damaged. Press "More Info..." to bet detailed information and suggestions for correcting the problem." When I press the "More Info..." button i get the Component Status window, and this is what it tells me. Color Manager.qrc 8.5.1.0 All 8.x Load Error[0] I'v looked for was to fix the Color Manager.qrc but only found fixes for QuarkXPress 7. Thanks for your helpSam

Hi! Have you tried to delete Required Components folder (in which is that qrc file)? Browse to Applications>QuarkXPress 8.5 and delete the folder I'm talking about. Relaunch QuarkXPress. HTH.

Do you mean it still alerts? If so just reinstall QuarkXPress. You might want to perform a clean install rather then an upgrade.
