All CMYK images come out green on the working file

I have this problem with our QuarkXpress (8 or 9) on this computer. It seems that whenever we import a CMYK jpeg image it will show up with a green hue. If I output the file it is processed correctly but in the working file it is always green. This is annoying, what setting do I need to fix in order for CMYK images to render correctly on screen. I've tried all the logical steps such as changing the view -> proof settings and things like that but to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,
There are a lot of things which can cause this behaviour. This includes the color profile used for saving the jpeg file, and how the color management is made. It can be also a problem with your monitor calibrating, if the picture file has the same appearance in other graphic software.
Check your settings in the preferences (Edit>Preferences>Print Layout>Color Manager). If you're sure you're using a proper color profile, check the Enable Acces to Picture Profiles checkbox.
Try also to save a jpeg file as tiff and see what is happening.
Hope this helps
