How do I tell clients that QLA has moved to a new server?

Post by britishmuseum » 13 Feb 2012, 23:15

New Mac mini server OSX 10.6. Downloaded a new QLA licence file with the mac address and Ip address of the new server.
I have uninstalled the QLA from the old server.

New server is running QLA 4.5 now and shows correct serial number and number of licences (5).
Problem is all clients seem to be still looking at old server. If I run Quark on any of them it says it cannot find the license server.

How do I "point" the clients at the new server?
All running Quark v8 on Mac OSX mostly 10.6 some 10.5
thanks for your help
Adam.

Look for file named QLACleint.properties in the client's Applications -> Quark folder. Open that in TextEdit and change the server IP. Copy this edited file to all other client machines.
