When you install the QLA Server does not detect the network ports and the mac address. What makes the file MachineInfo is not created, and you can not use the QLAlicense.dat.

Hi Sarbjit,I have been experiencing the same problem while trying to install QLA 4.5 onto an Intel Xserve running 10.6.5.While the installer runs runs without issue, the final screen of the installer shows no IP address/machine info, just a hyphen where you would expect an IP address (unfortunately I do not have a screencap to show you at this moment).Initially I did not consider this an issue. After exiting the installer, I made the necessary Java preferences changes and then tried to launch QLA. It would start, it's icon would show in the dock and then QLA would immediately quit.I am currently in the process of re-installing my Xserve's original OS (10.6.2) in order to run QLA, which it ran fine on without issue. I will post more info in this thread at a later time.

Hi Sarbjit,I have re-installed my OS to v 10.6.2. I have installed v4.5 of QLA Server. After the installation, I have copied my QLALicense.dat file into /Applications/Quark/Quark License Administrator/Server/. I have then gone into the Java Preferences utility and made sure that "Java SE 6 32-bit" is first in the list Java Virtual Machine versions. When I attempt to launch the QLAServer app, it starts and then immediately exits. Here is the text from the Console...10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/omg/CORBA/InvalidPolicies10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.omg.CORBA.InvalidPolicies10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:319)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:330)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:254)10-12-07 3:48:58 PMcom.apple.SystemStarter[72]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:399)10-12-07 3:49:21 PMcom.apple.launchd[1](com.apple.suhelperd[210]) Exited with exit code: 2I really need to get this fixed as I have no other machine I can install QLAServer on. Thank you!
