I am primarily and InDesign user, but my office is Quark. We have the latest version, on MACs and the only thing I can't seem to overcome is the ability to work with illustrator vector arts and paste them straight into the layout. With InDesign you can paste it right in, and the points are all there. You can even make changes to the vector art from the layout.I heard at some point that there is an Xtension for this. Is there? Please?? :-)

Hi golds,
which version of QuarkXPress do you use please? QuarkXPress 8/9 can import AI natively, by either File > Import or Drag&Drop from a file source (Bridge, Finder etc.). Is that what you are looking for?
Side note, Copy&Pasting pictures has always created an embedded image in QuarkXPress, so not recommendable for most workflows.
Thanks
Matthias

I have Quark 9.5What I am looking for is a way to basically be able to import the vector in a way where it recognizes it as a path and allows me to edit it directly in the layout. Is that possible?

Hi golds,
not directly, no. It needs to be a clippign path, then it is possible, yes, to make this into an editable QuarkXPress bezier path.
