Importing variable data into document fields

Post by Tomyk89 » 13 Feb 2013, 09:54

Just as a little background, I have Quark version 7.3 with the FormsX Xtension.I am designing a plate (for a printing press) with 5 documents on it. Each document is a different job which has the same artwork, however fields like "Origination Area", "Job Number", Customer Number" are different. I would like to import that data from a preexisting CSV file.Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

You might dig a little bit in the archives of the forums and find a post by Matthias Guenther about that kind of job (merge XML). That is XML import basically. HTH.

Are you still on v7? If so I might have the XT somewhere in my archives. If newer version, then it's part of regular QuarkXPress package.
