I have a terrific extension called "Change Case" for Quark4, which allows you to change case to upper or lower case by way of a keyboard command. (We typeset books and inevitably get files where things are wrongly capitalized.) It's a huge timesaver becasue you don't ever need to retype what someone has entered with, for instance, caps lock on. I would love to find a similar extension for Quark 6 but have not been able to. Does anyone know?

Same here! I just came to the Forum looking for that info... I also work with publishing. I used to LOVE that extension. If I find anything I'll post it.

Who was the manufacturer?

So far, I've only found this change case function in Badia's FullMeasure XT, but I miss a keyboard equivalent.

I don't have the name of the manufacturer here at home but I'll look tomorrow at the office (I still have an OS 9 machine there.)

Fullmeasure is interesting but big... (which could mean conflicts) and no shortcut!

I had one called "Caps XT" from http://www.techno-design.com/

But they don't seem to have it for Quark 6 though.

The name of the Xtension we have for Quark 4 is CaseIt, by FERAX software, a British developer. Their website doesn't say much...

http://www.ferax.co.uk/

I sent an email to the info adress (and to the contact address I found in the README file) asking for information.

I used the trial version of FullMeasure and it's pretty stable, but having to select the case from within a little menu every time was annoying...

The extension I was referring to is called "Change Case." It says 1993 The Last Word. It is way better than CApsXT, just because using the keyboard is so much faster than alwasy having to go to a little dialog box. I have searched online in vain. Is this something that could be accomplished with an Apple Script? (I don't know whow to do it, but I wondered...)

I did a "Google" on it and you can download it again from here and get his contact information from the Read Me file, if he's still there.

:?

But it looks like CaseIT will be the first one ready for Quark 6.

I have now updated the CaseIT XTension to work with QuarkXPress 6.x for Mac and Windows. I will post when it is online, but anyone wanting a copy should e-mail me off-line at mjg@ferax.co.uk, remembering to state if you require Mac or Windows version.
