how to integrate PHP and mySql in Quark 8

Hi Helene,
of course.
Can you tell me what you are looking for? So what does your form look like, a layout that collects name, email address and country and you want to receive that via email? Any other elements? Do you maybe already have a (static) form you want to share?

Do you want this to be triggered via a PHP script as above?
Thanks
Mattias

Hi Odin,
PHP is just text, so tell your text editor to save as plain text (and use the ending .php instead of .txt).
By the way, a good free editor I know of is TextWrangler.

Super, thanks works much better with Wrangler... "yourname@yourdomain.com" vs. "yourmail@yourdomain.com"Is there any important differences for these two versions?

"3. For the button create an event "click up" that triggers an action "Internet > Submit Page", method POST, to the URL of my PHP script (e.g. "http://www.yourdomain.com/mailscript.php")."Aren't you suppose to make a "get" method first?

Hi Odin,
I am afraid I don't understand your last two questions.
The first one, do you mean whether the name in the email matters? If yes, then the answer is, no it doesn't, use any you like (and that you have access to of course [:D] ).

And with the second, do you mean whether you need a GET and a POST action? If yes, then the answer is, no, you just need to choose EITHER (so just one).
Regards
Matthias
