Fading Opacity of an Interactive Object

Post by CraigP » 28 Oct 2011, 12:01

Is there a way to use the set opacity expression to fade the opacity of an interactive object? I would like to create a smooth fade (similar to how it looks when you use the hide object action with fade to transparent selected) but I don't want to fade it completely, just to 50% or so. Is this possible?

Fading Opacity of an Interactive Object

Hi Craig,
yes, the method is called .SetOpacity(n). So you do a loop where you reduce n in a loop from 100 to 50. E.g.
N = 100
While n>=50
n = n -1
Myobject.SetOpacity(n)
Delay (some sec or millisec)
End While

I thought it would be something along those lines, but didn't have it quite right. Thanks for your help!
