Using QXPS from Flash/Security Sandbox

Hi I have a flex application that works with our Quark XPress Server. Flash requires that a security file, crossdomain.xml is present in the domain. For example, if my server is http://qxps.server.com:8080, the flash app will be looking for http://qxps.server.com:8080/crossdomain.xml. The quark server returns this error message though:
Error #10120 - Cannot open this document type. Please select a QuarkXPress document or template.
Is there a way around this? Can QXPS serve html and xml docs without going through the rendering engine somehow?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello,
QuarkXPress Server does not have the required functionality on it's own. However, you can achieve this functionality by using QuarkXPress Server Manager. Do you use this application in your workflow?
QuarkXPress Server Manager (QXPSM) is a tomcat application, you will be able to utilize QXPSM to configure the default servlet in the QXPSM instance to handle the crossdomain.xml. This would however, require you to slightly modify the URLs that you're calling (changing http://server:port/pdf/doc.qxp to http://server:port/quark/servlet/qxpsm/pdf/doc.qxp, for example).
Thanks.
