Back in the mists, you could save a 'default' page, with text box, fonts, paragraph parameters, and so on, so when you called up a New Page, that's how it came.

Search as I might, I can't find such a facility on QX2015 (which I've been running for a couple of years).

I get by with workrounds, but is there some magic default area that I'm missing?

I think you are talking about "templates". You may setup a page (or as many as you want) and then File -> Save As -> choose QuarkXPress template as file type. Next time you want to create a new project, just open this template to start.

I hope I got your question right.

Sarbjit, thanks. It will be an easy workround, even if it's not what I recall from (many) years ago.

Many thanks.

Allen.
