How to update an altered inline table?

Post by Giansauna » 03 May 2015, 02:02

I'm playing with the new inline tables. Great stuff - I deal with scientific papers with lots of tables in it! :)
I'm looking for the possibility to have inline tables updated, if it is altered in Excel. I see that this is done by printing or exporting the project, but I'd like to have actual data while in designing process, too. Where's the button?

Hello Giansauna,

Select the inserted table with the Text content tool, then go to Utilities > Usage > Tables. Select the desired table (if you have more than one inline table in your layout - you'll see a "Modified" warning in the Status column on its row) then press the Update button. And that's all.
Every day is a good day to learn something new.

Check the Usage panel. There should be an entry for your Tables.

Great! That was the missing link! Thank both of you for pointing me in the right direction.
