Hi mkuehn,

so a file to test would really help us then, as we cannot reproduce such sluggishness.

Thanks
Matthias

Several years ago I had similar problems using a Windows system with a RAID config. (It is true, both the QXPress and the Win versions were elder).
Removing the RAID system has brought my system to a normal behaviour.
Maybe this can help.
At this point, removing the RAID isn't an option. RAID-0 is striping, and the data I have on the volume exceeds the capacity of a single drive. Even if I was willing to go out and buy a new SSD to fit all the data, Quark really shouldn't be that much of a princess that it runs slower with an increase in disk I/O.

I still need to send out that e-mail, which will happen shortly. Unlike my friend experiencing such glacial performance, in my case, I get to that point before I have a file to use in order to illustrate the problem. If anyone would like to give me a call and do a remote session with me to see what I'm talking about, I'm willing to do that.
