Quark 2015 'Setup Failed'

Quark 2015 'Setup Failed'

I've just migrated from my old work iMac to a new iMac.
Gone through the installation process then right at the I get a messages saying: 'Setup Failed - The system encountered an unknown error. Contact Quark Customer Support'.

I've tried LIveChat with Quark support but they gave me a number to call which was no help at all and the issue still hasn't been fixed.

I've followed a couple of step-by-step guides which I've found on Quark help pages:

...but still getting the same error message at the end. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I really need Quark working so I can do my job.

My old iMac was running El Capitan 10.11.3 and the new iMac I'm trying to install on is running El Capitan 10.11.5.

Any help would me massively appreciated!

Hi Sean,

so you migrated your Mac OS? Why don't you try installing QuarkXPress 2015 fresh on your new Mac?

Hi Matthias,

I have actually re-downloaded the 2015 dmg from the Quark website but the problem still occurs.

Hi Sean,

Kindly create a new administrator user account > Log out from the current user > Login from the new administator user > Download the latest QuarkXPress 2015- version 11.2.0. 5 installer and install in the new user.
