Drop shadow creating additional shadow in different directio

Post by vsdesign » 06 Apr 2017, 14:51

I created a horizontal rule with a drop shadow, and about halfway across the line there is a vertical drop shadow shooting up from the horizontal rule. I've checked, and there are no other objects in file. Any ideas why this is happening?

I don't have 2015 installed anymore. But how about a screen shot or a sample file I can open in 2016 just so we are looking at apples & apples?

Hi vs,

QuarkXPress allows to apply shadows to a group. Are these two elements maybe grouped? Then despite the individual object not having a shadow, the shadow will be created by the group shadow.

Use the item tool to select the group and check "Drop Shadow" tab please.

Thanks
Matthias
