picture boxs printing light gray

Post by renee@thelibrary » 24 Jul 2015, 10:25

I have grayscale images with white backgrounds (0% dot in photoshop) but when I write the pdf and output to plate, a light gray screen prints the size of the picture box. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Let me add: I'm running quark10 on windows platform.

Many thanks.

I am not experiencing this.

What type of image? Tiff, PSD or ?

What PDF profile are you using?

Hi and thanks for responding. I'm using grayscale tif images as to the profile, I export as Press/high quality/high resolution.

If I send plates from Quarkv9 I don't have this issue.

Is it possible to see an affected image? If so, please ZIP it, then if small enough attach here if it can be public. If too big for the forum, ZIP it and upload to dropbox.com or the like and put a download link in a post.

If it cannot be shared publicly, upload it to dropbox.com or the like and PM me a download link and I'll take a look at the issue.

Thank you, Mike

Yep. Below the reply box is a Tab that says Upload attachment. Click on it. You'll see a button to choose your attachment.

I don't see the upload attachment tab. below post a reply is the subject line. the line for html. this box that I'm typing in. and below it, 3 buttons left to right, save draft, preview, submit. and below that the box of options.

will you screen shot and send to me as an attachment?

Unfortunately, I don't have that second tab labeled "upload attachments."

The blue box below the reply only has a tab for "options" I've looked at it in Google Chrome as well as Internet Explorer. I'm leaving my office now. Perhaps I will have this option from a macintosh computer. I'll check this evening. thanks for your help. I'll send the file if I'm able.

If all else fails, use dropbox.com and provide a download link.
