Quark quits during HTML5 publication output

Ask questions about creating HTML5 Publications and HTML pages – both fixed or responsive – using QuarkXPress 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. HTML5 Publications allow you to create online publications with near-WYSIWYG typography & design and app-like interactivity – at no extra cost.

Also learn about Progressive Web App (PWA) export from QuarkXPress 2018. And see how truly responsive layouts using CSS flexboxes are possible, using the Flex Layout in QuarkXPress 2019. All without having to code of course.

Quark quits during HTML5 publication output

Post by Andy Dowse » 23 Jul 2020, 10:21

I am working on an HTML5 publication that causes Quark 2019 to quit half way through the export process.

The document contains:
• Selection of PNG and JPEG images
• Vector objects cut and pasted from Illustrator
• Scroll zones for the mobile version
• A Webview window containing a HubSpot form

I have tried:
• Saving it out of Quark 2020
• Resaved and updated all the images
• Removed the form – still crashed on export
• Deleted Quark's preferences and re-launched the app

Has anyone encountered this before – any suggestions welcome.
