QX2017 HTML5 export-List/TOC link not working correctly

Ask questions about creating HTML5 Publications (fixed or responsive) using QuarkXPress 2016, 2017 and 2018. HTML5 Publications allow you to create online publications with near-WYSIWYG typography and design and app-like interactivity – at no extra cost.

QX2017 HTML5 export-List/TOC link not working correctly

Post by saratogacoach » 30 May 2017, 17:54

Using QX2017 for HTML5 export. Opened a QX2016 .qxp file also set up for HTML5 export. File has a List TOC using anchors and hyperlinks. Works OK in QX2016 when previewing in player or viewing export via index.html. Links navigate to paired anchors.

If I open the same .qxp file in QX2017, export for HTML5, with same List/TOC, including same anchors and hyperlinks, clicking on a link navigates to the wrong page in every case. If I remove one of the hyperlinks and anchors, re-do each, try again, still will not correctly navigate. Still goes to the wrong page. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi saratogacoach,
Can you please delete TOC items from text box and Update again from Build palette. No Need to apply Hyperlinks for TOC Items manually after building list, Quark will do it automatically due to new changes done in QuarkXPress 2017.
Now, Export and update the result..

Thanks,
Srinivas
