Popup Position in HTML5 Publications

Ask questions about creating HTML5 Publications and HTML pages – both fixed or responsive – using QuarkXPress 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. HTML5 Publications allow you to create online publications with near-WYSIWYG typography & design and app-like interactivity – at no extra cost.

Also learn about Progressive Web App (PWA) export from QuarkXPress 2018. And see how truly responsive layouts using CSS flexboxes are possible, using the Flex Layout in QuarkXPress 2019. All without having to code of course.

Popup Position in HTML5 Publications

Post by Andy Dowse » 06 Dec 2018, 09:33

I am building an HTML5 publication with a popup contents menu.

I originally set up the button to open the popup exactly where I wanted it using the X & Y co-ordinates.

This all worked fine when I first started the project, but suddenly the popup isn't opening at these co-ordinates - it's defaulting to the top left of the page.

I've tried recreating the pop and it's button, but the problem persists.

Has there been a recent application update that might have introduced a bug?
